Location: Bangalore
Working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Experience:
4-7 years of IT experience as DBA and at least 3 years of Oracle Applications DBA experience.
1. Job Summary
Dell IT, Tailor and Sell business unit is seeking talented Oracle Applications DBA to join our energetic, fast-paced environment.

You will be primarily responsible for managing the local and remote Oracle Applications Instances. Responsibilities include Production/ Non-production environment management.

2. Scope
Most assignments require independent analysis and involve several aspects of large, complex Oracle Application database and Application.

3. Principal Accountabilities (Oracle Applications)

- Application fundamentals such as concepts and architecture.- Application Installation and configuration on Linux and/or UNIX OS- Patching and Upgrades- Patch Management and Version Control- Customization Updates- Application Cloning & DB Cloning- Concurrent Manager troubleshooting experience.- Forms/Report Servers troubleshooting experience.- Web Servers knowledge and troubleshooting.- Well versed with AD utilities functionality.- All oracle applications related regular and maintenance functions
- Understand any backup and recovery constraints.
- User Access Administration.
- Performance tuning experience in Oracle Applications & Oracle Databases.
3. Complexity

- Should have strong exposure to iAS, Portal, Workflow, Discoverer configuration etc.
-Exposure to single sign on, Portal configuration.
4. Knowledge and Skills
Qualified applicants must possess
- Possesses and applies broad knowledge of database and Application principles and practices.
- Broad knowledge of definition, design, and configuration of both Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications 11i/R12.
- Good knowledge in Oracle Database 10g, Performance Tuning.
- Backup and Recoveries.
- Database and Application Troubleshooting.

SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Oracle Applications:
Oracle Applications DBA skills.
Exposure in implementing Oracle Applications CRM Modules.

Languages /Technologies:

Oracle Applications. (11i/R12)

Database:
Oracle 10G

Operating Systems:
Windows, Unix, Linux

Middleware / Application Tools:

Exposure to Application server administration and configuration.
Exposure to Fusion middleware.
